Looking at the Bible through a portal that places it back into the context of the original readers and culture in which it was written. This allows me to find the layers of a story that would have been lost if I simply were to read it in my own context of today. When the Bible is placed back into it's original context the stories come alive with new messages or a different meaning. Also reading books or scripts such as the Dead Sea scrolls, Torah and the Apocrypha allow me to see the Bible in a way most others do not.
Portals work both ways, I will bring the Bible back and I will bring the story of Jesus into the world today and look at how he is seen in the world around us today. The fight is not over yet and evidence of his great hand extends into the world we live in.
